LINGUINI CARBONARA
DESCRIPTION:
Creamy carbonara!! The first time we enjoyed carbonara was back in 1985 when my brother, Jay, was staying with us in Sweden for the summer! After the season closed at Magasinet, we drove down to Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland where we found ourselves on the narrowest, steepest road I have ever been on in my life!! It was on the Italian border of Switzerland where we were almost run off the road by the crazy Italian's driving their little fiats down this narrow, winding, steep mountain!! Luckily we found a roadside cosy restaurant where we had the most wonderful carbonara served in a copper skillet!
I hope you enjoy this dish as much as my memories of our first carbonara experience!!
